"The mountains are calling and I must go." —John Muir

Research supports the theory that nature is important to children's development in every major way—intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically.  And our fifth grade students have an amazing opportunity to grow in each of those ways with an overnight excursion to Balarat, 750-acre mountain environment located near Jamestown, CO.

Balarat provides an opportunity for students to acquire knowledge, skills, and values to become self-sufficient citizens by providing personalized learning experiences in a unique educational setting.
